Out Reach Ministry
According to the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ, we see evangelism as God's will for the church. How should we fulfill this commission? We need three elements in a successful evangelistic ministry:
- A plan for proclaiming or sharing the gospel with non-Christians, and people willing and able to implement that plan.
- A prayer ministry that opens doors for the gospel and renders people receptive in spite of satanic opposition.
- A community into which we can bring those who are interested in the message. In an evangelistic community, non-Christians see the gospel being lived out by Christians, and have the opportunity to have their questions answered by more learned members if they so desire. They also are in position to begin to learn the basics of Christianity once they make the decision to receive Christ.
The purpose of the church is three fold: to exalt God (1 Peter. 2:1-10), to evangelize the lost (Matthew 28:18-20) and to edify the saints (Ephesians. 4:7-16). Evangelism by the local church is a clearly stated purpose as well as a principle exemplified by the early church (Acts 5:42).
Evangelism in the local church should be a natural occurrence, effectively promoted and practiced, yielding the fruit of joyful conversions and regular additions to the body of believers. Such evangelism not only results in church growth but also in church planting both at home and abroad. We seek for partners to join hands with us to reach souls with the message of Jesus Christ.
